Team Building

Challenge

The President of a leading software company asked us to design a customized team building event for 130 senior managers, meeting together for the first time from locations all around the world. The objectives were to help the managers get out of their comfort zones, gain confidence, bond with one another, and “think on their feet” at planning sessions, presentations, and team meetings.

Solution

A custom workshop was designed for the software company’s management team. Experiential exercises guided the senior team to discover their authentic voices, increase confidence, and shift mindset while discovering new ways to work with one another. Five facilitators led sessions in five breakout rooms. While dividing the team into smaller groups, participation increased among leaders and allowed for more individual attention during workshops.

Outcome

The software management team discovered the power of “Yes, And” thinking to bond in new ways and became open to more meaningful collaboration, creating synergy leading to company growth. As a result of excellent feedback from participants, Yes Unlimited was invited back two years in a row to continue training with the senior team.

Sales Training

Challenge

A Training Director at a Fortune 500 company wanted their sales team to become more comfortable with storytelling, “thinking on their feet” and presenting to their clients in a fun and confident manner.

Solution

Improv and role-playing sessions were customized to help the sales team get out of their comfort zones, and interact with prospects and customers through meaningful conversations. We encouraged and inspired the sales team to think more about storytelling, active listening, authenticity, and presence.

Outcome

The sales team was equipped with skills allowing them to create a memorable experience for customers, rather than simply a sales approach. The experiential workshop helped accelerate growth for the sales team, resulting in a strong launch, positive team response, and increased sales.

Education

Challenge

A Top 10 Canadian university wanted to help graduating students deal with the anxiety and stress of seeking a career in today’s marketplace. A particular focus on workplace communication skills, such as team bonding, networking, interviewing, and overall career development were the focus.

Solution

A series of experiential improv at work, networking, and interviewing workshops were designed. Students were encouraged to stay in-the-moment, get in touch with their authentic selves during interviewing and networking scenarios, and express ideas both verbally and non-verbally with confidence.

Outcome

Students uncovered their authentic voices, overcame fear, and gained confidence in a safe learning environment where they were encouraged to explore new ways of being. Student feedback was exceptional and led to an on-going partnership between Yes Unlimited and the university.

Entertainment

Challenge

HR leaders at a top-rated, mid-sized business were seeking an entertainment event to encourage fun, participation, and openness to creativity among team members.

Solution

An entertainment experience was designed on a main stage involving two experienced improvisor/facilitators, inviting the team of 200 audience members to watch, laugh, and interact with the show.

Outcome

The team bonded through laughter, experienced creativity in their work environment, and said the event was “just what they needed” after a week of demanding workshops and company meetings.
